The united states dollar or referred to as "the dollar" is a fiat currency printed by the united states federal reserve. and is used by the USA, Zimbabwe, British Virgin Islands, Caribbean Netherlands (from 1 January 2011) East Timor (uses its own coins), Ecuador (uses its own coins in addition to U.S. coins,) El Salvador, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Panama (uses its own coins in addition to U.S. coins), Turks and Caicos Islands
the dollar is also the current reserve currency
